
Isaford Immigration is now offering a new pathway to Permanent Residency in Alberta Province, Canada.
Alberta has created a new Alberta Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream Permanent Resident program intended to attract professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs to launch a business in Alberta. The businesses do not need to be innovative, and the owners can be passive or active in running the business.
There are no team applications (only 1 applicant per business) for the program, but an applicant can share ownership of the business with a Canadian or foreign national.
Program Requirements
- Education: Degree earned outside Canada within the last ten (10) years.
- Work Experience: Minimum 6 months full-time work experience actively managing or owning a business or equivalent.
- Language: Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5 (IELTS 5.0) in all English language skills (Speaking; Reading; Writing; Listening).
- Business Ownership: Client must own at least 34% of the Alberta business if it is in Edmonton or Calgary. Client must own 51% of the Alberta business if it is located outside Edmonton or Calgary.
- Approved Types of Business: The client’s business in Alberta must be in one of the following economic sectors:
- Technology – your business would fit here
- Aerospace
- Financial Services
- Energy
- Agriculture
- Tourism
- Life Sciences
- Pharmaceuticals.
Energy, Tourism, Agriculture, Financial Services, and Technology will likely be the easiest economic sectors for clients to find or establish a business in Alberta.
- Minimum Business Investment: Client must invest a minimum of $100,000 Canadian dollars into their Alberta business if it is in Calgary or Edmonton. The client must invest a minimum of $50,000 Canadian dollars into their Alberta business if it is located outside Edmonton or Calgary.
